Faculty of Computers and Engineering – Yogyakarta, as one of the leading higher education destinations, offers a variety of universities, both public and private, which provide superior programs for prospective students. According to the latest ranking from UniRank in February 2024, Alma Ata University (UAA) Yogyakarta is ranked third in the list of private universities in the city.
The Chancellor of Alma Ata University, Hamam Hadi, expressed his pride in this achievement, explaining that UAA is one of the Nahdlatul Ulama universities which is ranked fifth out of a total of 27 state and private universities in DIY, and ranked 35th out of a total of 596 universities throughout Indonesia according to UniRank.
UniRank is known as an institution that provides global rankings for educational institutions, originating from Australia. They aim to provide fair and unimpeachable non-academic ranking tables to assist prospective students in choosing a university.
According to Prof. Hamam, UAA rankings are based on valid and unbiased web metrics and cannot be manipulated by the universities themselves. He added that UAA’s policies which are friendly towards underprivileged communities, including the policy of accepting Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) grants during the COVID-19 pandemic, have attracted people’s interest in studying at Alma Ata. Currently, UAA receives the highest number of KIPs in DIY for 600 people.
