Faculty of Computers and Engineering – University of Alma Ata (UAA) has achieved a historic milestone by achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification for its two main educational services, namely the Student Service Center and library. This achievement, which was awarded on February 27 2024 by PT United Registrar of System (URS) Services Indonesia, marks UAA’s commitment to providing the best service standards to students and its stakeholders.
The Chancellor of UAA, Prof Dr H Hamam Hadi, emphasized that this achievement reflects UAA’s commitment to providing superior educational services, in accordance with the international standard ISO 9001:2015. He also emphasized that UAA’s primary goal is to become a World Class University, and achieving this certification is an important step in achieving that goal.
The Student Services Center at UAA offers integrated services covering various aspects, from academics to finance, in one place. Meanwhile, the UAA library not only provides traditional information sources, but has also developed a comfortable work space for students with free wifi service and easy access to refreshments.
In addition to efforts to obtain ISO 9001:2015 certification, UAA has also developed service digitalization in response to access restrictions during the pandemic. This shows UAA’s commitment to continuing to improve the quality of educational services and adapting to technological developments and student needs.
The process to obtain this certification involved lengthy and thorough preparation, starting from internal training in October 2023 to an external audit process in December 2023. The UAA internal team worked hard to ensure that all units involved met the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
By getting full support from university leaders, UAA successfully passed a series of audits and finally achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification from URS Indonesia. This is a proud achievement for UAA and shows their commitment to ensuring the best quality of educational services for students.
